El abuso sexual y otras formas de violencia afectan la salud y el desarrollo psicosocial del individuo con connotaciones sociales, éticas y jurídicas. El objetivo fue determinar la frecuencia de abuso sexual y otras formas de violencia en estudiantes de nivel medio de colegios de Alto Paraná. Es un estudio descriptivo, de corte transversal con muestro probabilístico trietápico. La muestra fue de 661 estudiantes de 56 colegios. Como instrumento se utilizó un cuestionario anónimo autoadministrado que incluyó indicadores de Escala de Tácticas de Conflicto Strauss Gelles. El 26,3% (174) vivió algún episodio de intento de abuso o abuso sexual en la vida. El mayor porcentaje (45,1%, n=83) lo padeció entre los 10 y 15 años, seguido de entre 6 a 10 años (23,3%, n=43). El 23,3% (n=43) manifestó que el agresor tenía entre 16 a 20 años, el 18,3 % (n=34) entre 11 a 15 años, y el el 9,2% (n=17) entre 31 a 40 años. El 19% (n=35) fue víctima del vecino, 16,4% (n=30) desconocía al agresor, 15,3% (n=28) por primo y 11,9% (n=22) por amigo. Los resultados revelan el importante porcentaje de adolescentes que fue víctima de un intento de abuso o abuso sexual alguna vez, muchos de ellos dentro del círculo familiar. La creciente gravedad de la problemática remarca la vulnerabilidad de este grupo poblacional por lo que se sugiere la necesidad de implementar programas de prevención de la violencia y principalmente del abuso sexual en niños/as y adolescentes.
Sexual abuse and other forms of violence affect health and psychosocial development of the victim with social, ethical and legal implications. The objective was to determine the frequency of sexual abuse and other forms of violence in students from high schools ofAlto Parana. It is a descriptive, cross-sectional study with probabilistic three-stagedsampling. The sample included 661 students from 56 schools. An anonymous, self administered questionnaire that included indicators of the Conflict Tactics Scale of Straussand Gelles was used as instrument. The 26.3% (174) experienced an episode of abuse orattempt of sexual abuse in their life. The higher percentage (45.1%, 83) suffered itbetween 10-15 years old, 23.3% (43) between 6-10 years, 10.0% (18) 16 and over. The23.3% (43) said that the attacker was between 16 and 20 years old, 18.3% (34) 11-15years, 9.2% (17) 31-40 years. The 19% (35) was assaulted by a neighbor, 16.4% (30)did not know the attacker, 15.3% (28) by a cousin and 11.9% (22) by a friend. The results revealed that a significant percentage of teenagers were victim of an attempt of sexual abuse or sexual abuse in the past, many of them with in the family circle. The growing severity of the problem highlights the vulnerability of this population. Due to this,we suggest the implementation of prevention programs against violence and especially sexual abuse of children and adolescents.
